Once you have booked your trip(s) you will receive a receipt / confirmation of booking to your email. This will act as your ticket. We no longer send tickets in the post. You will find out your seat number on the day, we always seat groups together where possible.

Itinerary
Departing Jesmond Street depot at 08:30 and The Halston Hotel, Warwick Road at 9am we will begin our journey through Wetheral via Plains Road, the coach will turn up passed Oaktree Animal Refuge over the railway to Low Cotehill, then we will turn left and follow the road to Armathwaite. Going under the railway bridge we will continue through Lazonby and Great Salkeld.
After turning left at Langwathby Bridge we will head up to our first stop The Old Village bakery, Melmerby. Once in Melmerby village follow onto village green then turn right arriving at approx 10:30am, here you can enjoy a tea or coffee, and something to eat.
Leaving Melmerby at 11:30am will then head back on the road to Bowness on Windermere, there is the option of a cruise on Windermere that can be arranged and paid for on the day.
We will depart Windermere at 15:30 and head to our final stop of Grasmere, the coach will park in Stocklane Coach Park. In Grasmere there is a gingerbread shop and cafés. We will depart at 17:30 via Thirlmere and Keswick or St Johns in Vale to take in the scenery. We should be back in Carlisle by 7pm approx

Family run Irving’s Coach Hire was established back in 1965 by the late Mr Irving. The company started as Irving’s Minibus hire in Canal yard in Carlisle and then gradually expanded over 50 years to the successful business that it is today.
As the company grew Mr Irving moved to Jesmond Street and acted with great inspiration for the people of Carlisle when he started his own day trips.
Now we operate a fleet of 53 seater coaches & a 16 seater minibus for school runs, private hire, short breaks & day trips.
